Nerve Jewellery

Brittany Steinhubl is a recent graduate of the Jewellery + Metals program at the Alberta College of Art and Design (ACAD) in Calgary, Alberta Canada. She graduated with distinction, as well as the ACAD Board of Governor\'s Graduating Student award for the Jewellery + Metals department. Ms. Steinhubl is currently living in Calgary and creating jewellery under the title: Nerve. Jewellery and Design by Brittany Steinhubl. She creates pieces of jewellery that are inspired by personal experience and emotion; body image, insecurity, and fear. Brittany contrasts these topics with the beauty of fine metals and gems. She uses ideas of anatomy to explore structural aspects of jewellery, as well as the narrative of the piece. Brittany Steinhubl\'s interest and fascination with biology and anatomy is motivation for the design. These abstractions reflect both the body and the mind of the wearer.
