Kristina Falcomer

Visual Art – Toronto

Drawing her inspiration from the world around her, as well as from her wide-ranging experiences and eclectic artistic interests, Kristina’s paintings capture a mood of disquiet, mystery, and intrigue. There is often an unsettling juxtaposition of people and objects, in an ambiguous environment of anxious tranquility—as though time were somehow suspended. Kristina produces provocative pieces that arise from a single question: “What does it mean to be alive to the extreme?” Kristina wrestles with time—that’s why the themes of risk, experience and living in the moment—and possible death—reverberate in her paintings.
