Dee Speaks

Dee Speaks was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. Her interest in photography began when she was in high school, but she didn’t fully pursue it until later on in her adulthood. She primarily photographs events and portraits and has had the pleasure of working with Brown University, Rhode Island School of Design, RISD Museum, Rhode Island Monthly, and Providence Performing Arts Center. Overall, Dee thoroughly enjoys producing visual content that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. In the spring of 2020, Dee Speaks co-founded The Vanta Guild which is a Rhode Island based photography collective of Black photographers.
