My name is Charlene \"Charla\". I was raised in New Orleans and refined in Southern Cali. My grandmother raised me and when she passed I became homeless. I was always driven, always determined, and always on a journey. She was a business owner and now..so am I. Between graphic design, school, regular 9 to 5 and running ALDORA I am very busy. Aldora started as a woman with a drive and determination that burned bright inside. My first days in the fashion accessories business were spent standing in a hot abandoned parking lot with a few jewelry pieces set up on milk crates, a table cloth, and a cardboard sign. When I wasn\'t getting shooed away by code enforcement for this little stunt I was on the bus walking the college campus dragging my little rolling suitcase of jewelry behind me. Sweat beating down, feet hurt from wearing heels, determined, tired, and hungry. Hungry for success hungry for independence and achievement doing what I loved. Armed with a combination of self education and schooling I finally decided to go full speed ahead into business. I conceptualized a name, a concept, a brand image, and set out to turn my vision into a reality. ALDORA is just the beginning and I am excited to share it with others as well as to see what other creatives have done with their amazing talents.
