Danielle Zuniga and Reyna Mondragon both graduated from the University of North Texas with Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance. As choreographers, they have individually had works adjudicated at the American Collegiate Dance Conference. They funded and produced a full evening production through the Fledgling Project, titled Altered Odyssey which premiered six choreographed works by the artists. Reyna Mondragon was selected by Blake Nellis as a model for his premiere gallery of Skin, Rock, Bone in Minneapolis, MN. Mondragon was also a part of Mad Minute Films in Minnesota. Mondragon has performed at festivals such as Austin Dance Festival, Brazos Festival, and Waco Dance Festival. Reyna Mondragon will be continuing her education by pursing her Masters of Fine Arts in Dance at Texas Woman’s University. After moving to the Twin Cities, Danielle Zuniga began working with Black Label Movement as an assistant and mover. Zuniga performed in Four Saints in Three Acts with Black Label Movement and the vocal ensemble group, Vocal Essence. Zuniga performed in and produced BLM’s TV Takeover episode with TPT TV which aired April 30, 2016. Danielle Zuniga and Reyna Mondragon are both passionate about starting their careers as professional dancers and are excited about the opportunities to come. Their show entitled Altered Odyssey was an evening filled with dance and exploration that infused the minds of the audience with an intrinsic insight to modern dance. Zuniga and Mondragon were complimented on their use of the space, their use of original composers, and their versatility within their choreography and the production. Danielle Zuniga and Reyna Mondragon are currently working on starting up their company Altered Odyssey Dance Project in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to make, do, and give opportunities to emerging artists like themselves.
