Amber Dixon

I grew up in Manhattan Beach, CA and have been painting and drawing all my life. I have displayed and sold my work on ugallery.com for 5 years, and have been doing commissions since high school. In 2006, I attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York with a scholarship and studied Fine Arts there for a year. Though I loved it, I transferred and switched majors, and will be graduating this May from Cal State Long Beach with a Bachelor's degree in Art History. Focusing on school has made it difficult to completely devote all my energy to my artwork (finding ways to spread and promote it), and I'm really looking forward to giving it my full attention after I graduate. I was accepted into a Master's program for Art Market and am possibly considering this option starting in 2012... only after I spend some quality time painting and taking myself seriously as artist. It's time to give my lifelong dream a real shot!
