Music – Gold Coast

Accused of coming from a similiar mold to Neil Young and Bob Dylan. Whilst influenced by both, his other influences & styles come from Johnny Cash, Ryans Adams, Jack Johnson, Paul Kelly, Justin Townes Earle, Chris Issak, Rufus & Loudon Wainwright, and it's clear that John Frusciante also comes into this influence. Another aspect of his inspiration comes from 70's classic Rock & Prog (Led Zeppelin & Jethro Tull). Another field of influences is Alt-Country & Folk. Obviously there are a few modern bands & artists in his caliber of influences and listening to such artists as The White Stripes, Oueens of the Stone Age, Incubus and Arctic Monkeys who have honed his skills. He's self-described as having a diverse taste of genres and artists from various eras (so he doesn't have a limit to what he plays or writes). Growing up on the southern Gold Coast of Australia. He began making up songs from the top of his head at around 11-12 years old. After getting a little nylon string guitar for his birthday he started getting guitar lessons as a hobbie, just to keep him occupied. Picking up on grunge music, alternative rock and metal bands. While never quite grasping the whole teen angst thing, it was inevitable that it would be incorporating into his writing and the way he played. Music became his companion throughout his teens to where he is now (at the sweet, tender age of 19), now graduated from high school, studying in the BPM at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. Playing primarily acoustic shows at Genki Cafe, the Barberoy in Coolangatta and the Loft at Chevron Island, and recording his own material. He's developing a creative flow of new material constantly (and has recently put out his debut EP). He is a product of his own personality and that matches up with his overall quirkiness.
