Geneva Marquez, a visual mixed media artist and founder of G.E.M. Artistry Studio in Las Vegas, NV. Artist Statement My work is classified as mixed media with a unique style that is not intended to be picture perfect. You will witness a canvas brought to life with rich vibrant color, building city skylines, martinis, music instruments, and fashion with an asymmetrical look. It was my first art class at age 12, when I discovered myself as an artist. I began my first mural and other projects and I realized this is what I wanted to spend my life doing. Discovering who I was through art. It is amazing to truly understand and discover yourself in the art world. There is no such thing as picture perfect when it comes to art. I see art as creating a new image that the world has never seen. Works by Geneva; have been displayed throughout the vicinity of Las Vegas, NV. Throughout the Venetian Hotel, The Palazzo hotel (The Act)and The Fox & Hound Tattoo/Gallery located inside the Stratosphere Hotel. Exhibited in Los Angeles and Hollywood and has been featured as a 2012 artist in issue #7 Catapult Art Magazine. Exhibition at The Artsfactory, PeaceNart Studios, and Jana’s Red Room. She has performed outstanding live painting acts at 18b downtown arts district. Geneva is honored to give back and is involved in local charities. 2013 she has founded G.E.M. Artistry Studio.
