Visual Art – Pittsburgh
I grew up in a very rural town (actually it\'s a village) in central PA. Decided to pursue art straight out of high school. My parents advised an education degree. I have a Bachelor\'s in Art Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a part-time job as an artist for Painting with a Twist Pittsburgh West. The full time gig is stay-at-home mom of two. I have been in Pittsburgh since 2007. I love this city.
I am mostly interested in what makes me happy. I respond to positive energy. When I work with watercolors, it becomes a meditative process like a flow. I like to build layers and masks like a puzzle.
I work in oils and acrylics along with drawing media as well.
I enjoy applying art to connect people in my community- using cultural influences and activities as a means to bring people together.
