For many the journey into the world of arts begins at an early age and I am not an exception to the rule. Born and raised in a small town outside Berlin, Germany, I started painting and experimenting with color at the age of ten but in a very casual noncompetitive way. As I entered college and later on the corporate world I drifted and almost overlooked a passion that had always been there and made me feel complete. After several years in L.A. I decided to move to NYC, a place that I always wanted to call home. I love the city and my corporate career, but a couple of years ago I felt that something was missing. I started to look inside and tried to identify why I felt incomplete, despite the fact that most of the things that I wanted in life had become a reality. Determined to find the answer, I took a trip to a spiritual retreat to meditate and remove myself from the daily hustle and bustle of a major city and possibly find the origin of the void inside me. The answer came few days after I arrived at the retreat and when a meditation instructor asked me: What did you enjoy doing when you were a child? The answer was painting and that was the day I decided to embrace a part of me that I had overlooked for quite a while... I hope you enjoy my paintings.
