Visual Art – Portland

I am a fiber and mixed media artist. I studied at Oregon College of Art and Craft. I have been Awarded 2 Barbara Kuhlman Fiber Arts Scholarships and have been published in both Haute Handbags and Somerset Studio magazines. In my work, I like to create layers. The complexity and texture of layers to me represent a marriage of the past and the present. The entropy and erosion of society and its landscape intrigue me. While I like to incorporate the past, I like to look at it from a positive and hopeful place in the present. Focusing on keeping the best of where we have been and incorporating it into our hopes for where we want to go. My work can range from dark to light depending on where I am on that journey at any given time. In my fiber work, I come from a place of everyday luxury. Because I believe in the comfort of being yourself and the luxury of quality natural fibers to be used and appreciated, not sitting on a shelf
