Visual Art – Los Angeles

My art is autobiographical in nature but tends to focus on personal and feminist issues. Fond of repetitive processes, I\'m inclined to spend 3 months hand-hooking a rug, or using 150 ft of shredded nylon rope in one sculpture. I play with texture, innuendo, symbolism and language. My nostalgia for objects allows me to layer meaning and emotion onto the inanimate. I grew up in Pittsburgh, educated in North Carolina and now live and work in Los Angeles.
