Visual Art – St. Louis

My work is community driven, I create to connect with and reflect the environment that I exist within. Each of my bodies of work is highly concept driven and all of the techniques employed reemphasize the themes and environment that I address. The goal of my work is to open dialog which in turn aids community development. I work with a variety of media depending on the issues that i choose to address. Formally trained at Colorado College I have a BA in Studio Art with an emphasis on drawing and painting. My current work emphasizes the dormant beauty in the found and forgotten in an effort to stimulate a \"Reclamation\" of identity within underprivelaged communities. I make my own paints from natural material like, brick, slate, limestone and various dried flowers. Inginuity is integral to my creative process, I endevour to find the most suitible, material response to the rhythm of any given environment and concept that I seek to unpack creatively.
