Brindlie Deitrick is a local photographer/artist in the Des Moines area. She\'s been taking photos since she was a kid. She was handed her first camera from her mom before her mom passed away. After that, she never stopped taking photos. Her high school did not offer a photography class. But her high school art teacher Mrs. A saw lots of talent and passion for all forms of art in Brindlie & chose to privately teach her the \"ins and outs\" of developing film & prints in the darkroom. Her art teacher also allowed Brindlie to sit in any art class freely. She would let Brindle work on photos & art during her study halls & before and after school. Her work was hung in the halls & submitted to competitions where she won 1st place, many best of shows & honorable mentions.
Over the years she has done a many gallery\'s as well as being published in newspapers & magazines many times. She has explored the world around her, always viewing everything the world has to offer through the lens of a camera.
Brinny\'s work is known for its vivid popping colors, her eye for composition, angles, and her ability to view even the smallest details in the world around her as art. She also uses natural lighting, capturing the raw real mood of the subject and its surroundings. The old saying \"a picture says a thousand words\" really holds true.
