Born in the Philippines and raised in Hawaii, Xisco moved to California pursue Architecture and later to work in the profession. But the economy imploded the architecture world, and Xisco was left stranded. Leaving the mainland behind, he took what he loved the most, back to Hawaii with him; a set of pencils, pens, and a sketchbook. Which began a new journey back to the art of drawing. Without the rigidity and confines of the architecture world, Xisco’s new milieu was that of a surreal spiritual anime imbued in nature filled with screaming characters, un-manicured landscapes, and visions of Figure Christ.
