From the time I was old enough to see inside the skeleton key locked drawers of my dad\'s closet chest of drawers, I felt the wonder of clockworks, vintage jewelry, and the smell of old forgotten treasures. I was in a lapidary group by age 8 and developed strong interests in gems, rocks, and minerals. Even though some old watches may no longer function, their insides can be beautiful with craft work rarely seen today. I like to take watch parts and combine with gemstones to make up-cycled jewelry art pieces. They may be seen as \'steampunk\' or \'cosplay\' by some, but I see them as my own interpretation of the world of my dad\'s old chest of drawers. A world that, as a child, I thought was infinite and wondrous...and still do.
