Visual Art – Minneapolis
I was born in Minneapolis, and raised in Dakar, Senegal. By the age of six, I found myself in Dakar with the expectation to adapt. My parents had prepared my linguistic skills from a young age, nonetheless speaking the local dialects was a big challenge. Challenged by my communication barriers along the urge to share my thoughts, I found refuge in art. Drawing is my pacifist weapon of choice because it allows me to express myself in ways language wouldn't allow me.
