Claire Bagg

I was born in San Francisco and have moved around many different times throughout my life. I have always had a strong passion for art that has only continued to grow throughout the years. I stared as a painter and from there moved to photography. Today rather than picking a specific medium I have begun to cohesively combined all my mediums into on (painting & photography). My vision through this portfolio was to illustrate the simplistic, hidden beauty of well known children\'s stories that are typically overlooked. The contrast between light and darks gives the images a familiarness draws the focus on the whole image rather than simply allowing the viewer to glance over it quickly. It takes time to understand. This portfolio represents a playful mysterious take to what I feel is overused & obvious fairy tale illustrations.
