Photography – Boise

I am an alternative photographer who uses liquid emulsion, hand-applied on paper and exposed using sunlight. I don’t try for perfection in my work, because I think beauty lies in the imperfections. I never view a mistake as an accident, but as an opportunity for further exploration of the process or of myself. My pieces are mostly done in the Van Dyke and Cyanotype photographic processes with some additions of woodblock prints and sewing. I am currently exploring the Anthoype process using natural dyes found in berries as my emulsion with exposures times that can take over a week to develop.
