Continuum Dance Theater (CDT) is an all female
professional dance company skilled
at turning alternative venues into
intimate performance happenings.
Led by Founding Artistic Director and
Choreographer, Sarah Parker, CDT’s
work provides new perspectives on
the essence of our contemporary
generation; delving into stereotypes
of the human character and the role
of personal and social personas in
today’s evolving world.
Fearlessly integrating genres of
dance, theater and performance art,
Continuum’s athletic energy and
dynamic flair cultivate thought
provoking exposes as their story
unfolds. Described as exposing
emotions both highly personal and
raw, Continuum gives glimpse into
the artists behind their characters in
the studio and on the stage.
Continuum Dance Theater was
founded in 2011 and is currently touring THE
MOVEMENT, which debuted in 2012 in Pittsburgh, PA. Continuum will be producing a new World Premier evening of dance titled \"Objects of DESIRE\" on December 14th 2013 at the New Hazlett Theater as part of the CSA Arts Series of 2013-2014. Look for excerpts of this work throughout the city leading up to this premier and stay tuned for it\'s New York City debut at the APAP conference in January 2014.
CDT pushes the envelope in the fusion of dance and theatrical
movement with their intellectual
approach to poignant tales with
dramatic flair. Pop up performances of their work can be seen throughout Pittsburgh in their home season and abroad in their national tour.
