Cristina White-Jones

My name is Cristina, I\'m from Austin and have been painting pretty much my entire life, it truly is my passion. I graduated from Southwest Texas state University in 2003, with a BFA with emphasis in painting. Along the way health issues and having kids, kind of put my art on the back burner, but over the past couple years I\'ve been able to refocus myself to my art. I consider myself mostly an abstract expressionist and work with several different types of media, and like to experiment with more nontraditional ways of laying down the paint, and creating differnt textures. Recently, I\'ve switched directions slightly and have experimented with some found art pieces, using old car parts; reclaiming/re-purposing to bring new life to them. I\'ve showed work in Corpus Christi and am a member of Kspace Contemporary, I\'ve showed all over Austin and surrounding areas, and have a few pieces showing in Ft. Worth.
