Danielle Nicolosi

Danielle Nicolosi is from Staten Island, New York. She began dancing at a neighborhood dancing school, L.A. Dance located in Staten Island, New York, at just three years old. Danielle competed in Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Modern, Hip Hop, and Contemporary styles in various regional and national dance competitions for eight years. Danielle received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Dance and Education at Hunter College. She has been trained by David Capps, Alberto Del Saz, Natalie Desch, Stephanie Liapis, Catherine Green, and Susan Hefner. She had the privledge to work with Harkness Choreographers-in-Residence such as Laura Peterson, Donna Uchizono, Doug Varone, and David Parker. As a choreographer, Danielle has also been quite successful. The work she choreographed for the Hunter College Dance Company, \"Rhythmic Allure of Morai,\" was performed at the Danny Kaye Playhouse, and also selected as a representative piece for Hunter College at the American College Dance Festival in April of 2013. Danielle is also a member of the Rangeela Dance Troupe which combines Bollywood with Contemporary, West African, Hip Hop, Disco, and Latin styles. They perform frequently at the Resorts World Casino in Queens, New York, and also, annually in the Diwali Festival at the South Street Seaport. Danielle has performed for some famous Indian soap stars including, Dev & Radhika, Arjun & Purvi, and Jeffery Iqbal. Danielle is a part of the Elite Team, an organization by world renowned dancers and choreographers, Chonique Sneed and Lisette Bustamante. Danielle\'s mentors are Neil Schwartz and Aurelia Michael.
