From the club to the concert hall, Danny Satori is no stranger to the pursuit of artistic expression. His love for sculpting sound as a pianist & DJ started at an early age with extensive musical training, which inevitably brought him to the present serenity of his own resonance. By “bringing the marble back to life,” he now maintains a performance standard on the piano of concert repertoire & improvisation inspired by the ever-changing universe. Under the alias “Satori,” he improvised in the styles of Romantic, Impressionistic, Modern and World Music. As a DJ, his unique blends of exotic & hypnotic dance music have led him to be an emerging performance artist in the club community. He is most known for his Live Hybrid DJ performances using sequencers, MIDI controllers, synths and dynamic FX pads. His most recent affiliations include pianist for ToUch Performance Art (Boston, MA), piano instructor at Community Music Center of Boston & giving guest artist performances/masterclasses throughout New England, including The Wheeler School (Providence, RI). Upon active reflection, he is most truly honored to be a collaborateur for these respected affiliations.
I love when artistry and technology come together to express nature. Anything from French Impressionism to chillout electronica gets me going. I also love understanding movement...from dance to hydrodynamics, it all gets my blood pumpin' for sure. Eastern thought also inspires me as well...a drop in the ocean ;-)
I love how RAW brings together artists of different fields into one big jam session :-) It's so refreshing to get different perspectives, and it helps me find new ways of how I might express ideas through my sound.
My close circle of family, friends and respected colleagues. Without their support, I would never be where I am in life now. They are truly my lifeline :-)
