Dear Raymer

Fashion – Los Angeles

Dear Raymer began as the brainchild of Arizona's Platinum Visual Communications/Design student in 2005, and has progressively become the alias of artist Jared Tate Johnson. Striving to promote the movement of individuality with the purity of creating one of a kind wearable art pieces, Jared Tate builds accessories ranging from simple and intricate hand made necklaces to carefully built sterling silver and industrial body garments; the Dear Raymer Body Harness, designed and fitted specifically for each rightful owner. Dear Raymer has earned a loyal following over the past six years due to his raw, geometric, yet streamlined aesthetic. Using hand oxidized precious metals, a draping technique more often used in fashion/textile construction, and personally soldering up to 100 jump rings per piece for strength and functionality, he's taken a step away from the norm and built a personalized genre of accessory design to call his own. Last year Jared Tate opened the doors of the Dear Raymer House, a downtown photography studio collaborative, that houses artists on their path to creating a dream, and gives insight and working knowledge on the creative industries that surround them here in Los Angeles. 2012 marks the opening of the collaborative gallery at DRH, and the beginning of something special.
