Music – Houston

My love for music started when I was a child. I remember watching my dad play the guitar and I\'d always ask him \"how did you do that?\" When I was 8 yrs. old I was given the opportunity to take violin lessons at my school which led me to winning city and regional violin competitions. At the age of 12 I taught myself to play drums and throughout my teenage years I developed a passion for songwriting. When I turned 17, I got serious about writing and picked up the guitar so I could use it as a tool to express my songs. Throughout college I wrote a handful of songs and I really wanted to hear them come to life so I recorded them. I saved every penny I had and even took out two personal loans with my bank so I could record my first independent album called \"Speak to the World.\" My song \"Cover Girl\" ended up being nominated for best original song amongst thousands of entries with the International Acoustic Music Awards. Eventually, I was discovered by up and coming manager Joe Fontaine with Fontaine Artists Management & Entertainment. We teamed up and he introduced me to several multi-platinum producers and songwriters. During the last two years I traveled extensively between L.A. and Houston to work on my new EP catalogue while working a full time job.
