Andrea\'s latest performances include dancing on The Colbert Report on Comedy Central, Dancing on The Shine On Awards Show at Radio City Music Hall hosted by Meryl Streep, Good Day Austin on FOX, The Capezio A.C.E. Awards, and as a featured dancer for the Step Up 3D promotional music video.
Andrea is the Artistic Director of The Andrea Torres Dance Company where she created and produced the contemporary production of “Outed” in New York City in 2013. Since then the company has been invited to many festivals including The COOLNY Festival, The Brooklyn Dance Festival, the Dumbo Dance Festival, and Dance to Breathe at the Austin Music Hall. Currently the company is in production for a brand new show to premiere in Austin, Texas this season.
Andrea is/has been on faculty and staff for The Pulse on Tour, The International Teachers of Dance Inc. Convention, Texas Association Teachers Dancing, Dance Theatre USA, Peridance Capezio Center, and Broadway Dance Center in New York.
Andrea Torres obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in American Dance Pedagogy and Minor in Business Entrepreneurship from Oklahoma City University. She has choreographed and been seen on many stages in New York City including the Highline Ballroom, Symphony Space, the Paul Taylor Studios, the Grand Hyatt and Sheraton Hotel for the Pulse on Tour faculty, the Actor’s Fund Arts Center, the IZOD Center, the Connelly Theater, and the Kaye Playhouse.
