E. Indigo by Lauren Miller

I live in Nashville, TN & handcraft eclectic, one-of-a-kind jewelry and accessories as a much loved hobby. I\'ve spent a whole lot of time teaching myself the ways of the jewelry crafting world and I\'m proud of the small amount of success I\'ve had thus far. It can be a challenge to create a brand and focus on a theme that defines you and your work. Sometimes I would find myself getting caught up in what someone else would want. The more I incorporated myself into my jewelry, and the things that I like, the more satisfied I was. I guess it correlates back to life in general…when you have a good understanding of who you are and what your purpose is; you tend to be successful in most things you devote your time to. Shifting gears- in the other half of my world, I work within a Research & Development lab where we formulate cosmetic products for the personal care industry. It can range anywhere from baby shampoo to anti-age cream, and even dish soap. It\'s definitely a cool job. Although two completely separate categories- the creative process that I work through as a chemist and as a jewelry designer is very similar. My professional career has helped me immensely with E. Indigo and just learning to bring a project to completion.
