Accessories – Perth
I started making jewellery about five years ago as a hobby. When friends started commenting on pieces I was wearing, I decided to see how well they would go if I sold them. When I started out all I sold were elastic gemstone bracelets. Fast forward five years and I can make a whole lot more than bracelets! I am completely self taught and have fallen in love with the art of jewellery making. Since I am in my final semester of nursing which can be pretty heavy and hectic at times, I find jewellery making very cathartic. I make pieces that are either one of a kind or available in very limited quantities - I don\'t want to mass produce items because I think authenticity and individuality is important. I source the best quality gemstones and crystals I can find, then team them up with a mix of precious metals to create my pieces. My design process is very organic, I don\'t follow trends and I like the fact that my pieces are sold to people who genuinely love them and have an appreciation of the metaphysical aspects of the stones. I also have a new found love of brush lettering, so have been able to expand Elemental to include pillowcases, prints and canvases.
