Exploded Designs celebrates creative, fun, tongue-in-cheek exploded view illustrations and other diagrams that blur the line between informational and art. Coming from a strong technical illustration background, I’ve always viscerally enjoyed the order and precision in a technical illustration, but also love the irony and creativity of injecting some satire or comedy into it. When you try to explode something like sushi, a crustacean, or even an arguably un-explodable slinky--then you’ve really gone down the rabbit hole.
