Fourteenk

To start, we\'re just 3 guys that love music. Me myself (Barin), I grew up listening to all types of music from rock to rap to jazz to country, pretty much anything i could get my hands on. My dad is a music teacher so i\'ve always had access to pretty much any instrument I wanted and if i had any questions I\'d just walk down the hall. I took advantage of it. Then I met bryan about 6 years ago, he was and still is my next door neighbor and we started competing in music, who could make the best music and what not. I won about 99% of the time haha but he started getting better and developed his own style and you couldn\'t really call a winner anymore. Then we started working together and producing artists and selling beats. Then we decided it was time to go out and be heard. We hooked up with my other childhood friend Ben, who could rap his ass off but was still a nerd haha. We could tell you guys some stories man lol, but he was and still is an essential part of our band. Each of us bring an important element to the band that would otherwise be lost. Speaking of the band, we call ourselves fourteenk. The name comes from the 14k gold metal, which is an impure metal. We came up with this slogan \"Live Life Impure\". It doesn\'t mean be a bad person or anything like that. Its just that society teaches you from the time that you\'re a little kid to adult hood, this false idea that you need to be perfect. You need to be perfect to succeed and not make any mistakes and you\'ll have a perfect life. We say the hell with that! We\'re gonna live our lives how we want to live them. We say what we want when we want and no one\'s gonna censor us. From the outside looking in it looks like we\'re just wreckless youth, but we\'re just being ourselves. But if society thinks we\'re impure f*ck it :)
