Gavi Mercado

I am a Chicana Artist based in the San Fernando Valley, I add many symbols into my painting which tell a deeper story and hold deeper meanings to my simple creations. I wish to show new ideas and beliefs through my art to just question life its self. These are the first paintings I created as an artist and wish to share what I've been holding back. I feel we have a need to express our selves, but need to find out just how to show who we are in our own unique ways. I feel my art is an example of just how we can release our creativities, whether its though philosophy, story, music, nature, communication, beliefs or simply art! We just need to do it and not hold back.
