Visual Art – Minneapolis

My pottery says a lot about who I am. I was born and raised in NH and discovered an interest for fine arts at a fairly young age. It was difficult for me to commit much time to sitting and drawing since I would much rather be playing outside. Yet my parents encouraged me to work diligently since they could tell I had talent. I studied art in college and have been searching for a way to express myself in a functional way ever since. What I\'ve developed in this art is a way to create beauty and perfection but also maintain a splash of spontaneity and intrigue. I absolutely love being able to work with my hands and learn from the clay. Every day that I sit at the wheel I aim to create something that is new and surprising to the public. With pottery being such an anceint art it seems that there is nothing that can be done that hasn\'t already been made, but it\'s my goal to find something different.
