Grey Jays Jewelry

Greyjays was started as an outlet for two college friends that shared a mutual love for nature, odd nicknacks, foraging junk, and jewelry. After spending two summer seasonal jobs together and countless walks to the beach, mountain, dump, and alleyway later, we decided it was time to do something with all of the oddities that we had accumulated. So then came the jewelry. One of our purposes is to highlight the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. We incorporate this theme to our pieces by using driftwood, sea glass, rocks, moss, and even marine mollusks and horse hair in our pieces. It also is to creatively give meaning to discarded objects by transforming things that one might not consider beautiful into unique pieces. We have used things such as discarded hardware, reclaimed wood, and reused wax cardboard staples. We love to experiment with different forms!
