Photography – Nashville
Born and raised in a small town in Iowa, Annette has had a love and passion for photography since early childhood. She always had a camera in hand. Constantly documenting what she saw in the world around her and bringing it to life. In High School she loved mass media classes and thought several times about pursuing an art degree after graduating. Instead, she pursued Theater at the University of Northern Iowa. At the age of 19 Annette dropped college and hopped on a greyhound bus to California and spent 9 years on the west coast. She obtained a BA in Communication Studies from California State University Northridge, but always kept the arts close at heart. A few community college photography classes and a love for art inspired her first purchase of a DSLR camera in 2007 and dabbling in taking photos of friends, and getting paid! In 2008 she moved to Missouri and started her official photography business, Annette Kay Photography. In 2014 Annette decided she wanted to do bigger and better things with her passion and relocated to Nashville to pursue combining two loves of her life- Photography and Music. She decided to attend Nossi College of Art and is currently a student working to improve her craft.
