Fashion – Philadelphia
I love fashion, it is something that motivates me every single day of my life. I breathe, live and wear it like no other. I became interested in fashion when I was about 14 years old, something about it was just magical to me.
As a child growing up in the city of Philadelphia it was hard for my mother as a single parent to provide for me and my two other brothers with responsibilities as a parent.
When I graduated from middle school and went to high school it was a different setting for me because of all the new trends people were into and me on the other hand found it difficult to try to fit in and be like the other students so one day I started cutting up my old clothing to try and make something that was one of a kind and or different then everything that everyone else was wearing, it was a lot of work but when I it set me free.
But life itself has been very hard and exciting at the same time, getting so much feedback on what I had created just motivated me so much to continue to work harder on the things I really wanted to do in life, when I turned 19 I bought myself a dress form and a sewing machine and basically figured out everything on my own, like creating my own patterns, figuring out how to work a sewing machine.
just being able to release my inner self.
