Visual Art – Denver

Born and raised in Denver, Colorado I love to make art that is optimistic and curiously recognizable. I construct colorful, geometric, abstract pieces that are derived from mapping techniques using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software. The final images are real-world and otherworldly abstractions that rely upon geographic interpretations, geometric transformations, and other random musings. Most of my compositions are made up of flat layers of simple, two-dimensional shapes. Some pieces allude to three dimensions with basic hue gradients and shadows cast by popping foreground shapes. The final product is usually painted or printed on canvas, though recently, I enjoy giving my art a much more industrial, futuristic vibe by digitally printing on metal plates. I have also begun playing with four dimensions, animating floating, three dimensional solids that playfully whirl around while reflecting their colorful environment.
