Joey Mirabile

My aesthetic stems from creating pop art out of pop culture by enhancing the artist’s original vision with my own personal touch. I can take any item that is practically deteriorated and bring it back to life by adding a little zest, magic and imagination. My art started a few years ago when I obtained vintage record albums, decided which sections of the albums pop and enhanced them with new materials, mostly glitter. What started out with just albums has now branched into vintage comic book covers, movie posters and more. Originally from Salem, Massachusetts, I am an artist and actor living in New York City. I like to create from an organic place of love. We are the channel that art flows through. I like to believe I am a collaborator with the artists whose pieces I revive. And I look forward to finding challenging pieces that will not only satisfy my artistic creation but also the eyes of the spectator.
