WHITTMAN Dance Company

Performing Art – London

WHITTMAN Dance Company was founded after the dancers Nonica Papageorgiou, Alice Gaspari, Ana Beatriz Meireles and Klaudia Franziska Wittmann met at European funded collaboration (Youth in Action) between contemporary dancers and musicians from the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. Their contrasting cultural and artistic backgrounds including balletic and acrobatic influences allowed them to create their own original style in terms of movement, subject matters and performative methods. Since then the company has increased by dancer Sophie Cook, designer Mahna Delacour, photographer Mike Zajac and the London based music collective Bread Knives Productions (composers: Nina Clara Danon, James C. Wilkie).
