J4 Crew

J4 Crew: we live and breathe dance! We just want to achieve our best as a crew and develop and grow together. All of the J4 Crew members attended Calwell High School and participated in the Dance program there under the direction of our teacher, Kym Degenhart. We were a close group of friends and we wanted to continue dancing together, so once the older members started to graduate, we formed J4 Crew under Bom Funk Dance Studio, now owned by Kym. Being in this crew gives us the opportunity to perform at so many different events across Canberra & Australia and allows us to actively encourage other boys to dance. We choreograph all our own sets and have started delivering workshops to younger students which is incredibly rewarding and fun. Dancing in J4 gives us so many wonderful opportunities and skills as well as the chance to work on our fitness, strength & creativity. We work together as a team to create pieces that communicate our individual personalities. A number of us have gone through rough patches and it is comforting to always know that we have Dance and our J4 family there for support.
