Visual Art – San Diego

Jeremy is an intuitive artist, and his paintings represent a range of experiences and people seen through his unique visual processing. Jeremy’s work embodies all aspects of what it means to be human in a colorful, honest, and beautifully unique way. Jeremy has synesthesia: he sees letters and words in color, and perceives people’s emotions in different colors. He has been having dreams as long as he can remember; dreams that he is painting the emotions of people he has met into colorful portraits. In August 2012, he began to tell others about his dreams and his desire to paint them. Now, Jeremy meets people in person or online, ‘reads’ their colors and then paints to recreate the portrait envisioned while dreaming. Jeremy also has autism and communicates by typing. He graduated from high school with a full academic diploma despite being non-verbal. He has co-authored a book about the transition into adulthood, A Full Life with Autism (Macmillan, 2012) Jeremy has his own art studio at Space4Art. Jeremy’s first curated solo art show - Inner Dimensions – took place in from April 2016 in San Diego and was covered by both national media including: People.com; NBC News; ABC News; and local media : NBC, Fox, San Diego Union Tribune. The show was a huge success with all paintings but one sold, and commissions arriving every day. For more information about Jeremy, visit Jeremysvision.com.
