Jen Lightfoot

Visual Art – Philadelphia

Jen Lightfoot -- multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, cat lady, tattoo enthusiast, CD collector, pinup girl aficionado, music addict. Jen lives in the heart of Philadelphia, PA - drawing strange, yet seductive drawings by day and filling up dark bars and clubs with her alternative folk-rock music by night. Jen\'s love of drawing began in pre-school when her nana taught her the art of making paper dolls. Jen held onto that love of drawing the figure and expanded it from tiny cartoons to life size nudes that experiment with eroticism and the grotesque. She graduated with a BFA in Illustration from Moore College of Art and Design in 2007 and is currently a graduate student at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. She has shown and sold her artwork at various galleries in the Philadelphia area including Gleaner\'s Cafe and Gallery, The Philadelphia Sketch Club, and Hot Topic in the Cherry Hill Mall. She has designed album art and logos for indie bands including quirky New York based singer-songwriter Rachael Sage and in-your-face Philadelphia hardcore band Scareho, as well as illustrated book covers for fantasy author Warren Stallworth. When not tucked away inside her studio drawing, or rocking out on her guitar, Jen can be found drinking flavored lattes and reading in local coffee shops, going to horror film conventions, checking out low-brow art galleries, and headbanging to metal and punk rock bands at indie venues.
