Visual Art – Portland

To me, art helped me communicate and gain the courage to make friends. It gave me a voice and motivated me to improve. Many art teachers tried to discourage me from pursuing art so I improved what I was capable of on my own focusing on what I wanted to learn by teaching myself everything I could through Art books, studying artists, cartoons, etc. In Tucson, AZ I used my skills to help promote friends in sports, music, and anything I was interested in. Working with big names and small I kept learning more about what I am capable of and what I can offer. Although being self taught doesn\'t really open doors in the professional world I kept going. I learned to paint. I learned digital art. Earlier this year I decided that 38 years in Tucson was more than enough so I moved to Oregon to continue to experience more of what being an artist can offer. Art is my passion and I will continue to exist and grow as an artist until the day I die.
