Kinetic Designs by John Steven

The desire to design and create has always been a part of me. I remember as far back as elementary school, winning ribbons in art class, and how motivating that was for me. For thirty years I have brought my creativity, and my attention to quality and detail to my career as a highly skilled machinist. For the last five years I have been tying my machining abilities with my urge to design, creating unique steel kinetic sculpture that captures the attention of everyone who views it. I have fun with each piece, spending countless hours thinking about how to create and extend the graceful, mesmerizing motion of each stainless steel sculpture, and I can’t help but think that I am now doing what I was created to do.
