Visual Art – Toronto

I am a Toronto artist. My work is an escape into imaginary worlds where it is always springtime; where soft light filters through alive and fragrant flowering trees; where you can really breathe. A mysterious orb illuminates all of my pieces, imbuing them with tranquility and soulfulness, acting as a counterpoint to our hectic and sometimes dispiriting lives. My work has a melancholy feel; sadness that this beauty is ephemeral; only a dream. Largely self-taught, I paint with acrylic on canvas using a variety of techniques including sponging, rolling, brushing, pouring and finger-painting. I gravitate to a more vibrant colour palette, applying interference and iridescent paints to achieve an other-worldly feel. Recent exhibits include Art Escape, the ETA Awards and the Freedom Factory VAM Exhibition as well as being a regular exhibitor at the Artusiasm Gallery in Toronto.
