Visual Art – New York - NYC

I began painting after meeting a very talented young artist who specialized in abstract painting. I was in awe at the variety of emotions each piece offered. I decided to try my hand at this, wondering what it would feel like to actually create one of these emotional pieces. So I set about taking various courses to learn the basics. I tried different styles, and mediums, but always knew in my heart abstract was my niche. Painting using all the wonderful colors and textures become part of me at the time of there creation. From choosing the colors combinations, altering the viscosities to the point that I can marble it to the point where I reach the desired effect. The Rorschach effect it portrays lends greatly on the desired effect and the subsequent title. It truly can be a form of journaling, telling my story. I become very emotionally invested in some of my work. In fact I became teary when I left one particular piece at a gallery exhibition, fearing it would sell. It was one of my finest pieces representing a milestone in my life, titled \"Releasing Resentments\" I was thrilled when it didn\'t sell and made the decision that it now hangs on MY wall. But now it\'s time for you to meditate over the soft lines or hard edges. ENJOY
