Kenton Michael

Accessories – Orange County

Out of SoCal to Oz and back. Kenton Michael Dunn found his artistic bent during his undergraduate tenure in Brisbane, Australia while working on his Business Management and Entrepreneurship Degree in 2006. Even though Kenton had done some drawing early on, one day the inspiration to purchase a large white canvas overtook him and the first ink drawing was born. Music became a key part of his drawing inspiration, creating imagery that reflects what goes on in our minds eye, looking out but also looking in. His graphic black and white drawings, sometimes black on black, surprise the viewer with one burst of color. This style has made its way into his jewelry design. As a young business major/artist the search for edgy leather accessories to wear coincided with the opportunity to be featured in an art exhibit in Nagoya, Japan in June 2010. From that moment, creating leather and silver jewelry, and hand drawn art became his passion. After the art faire Kenton returned to live in Southern California and began an apprenticeship, with Suzan Zahedi of SUZAN Handmade, as a silversmith in 2010. It was then that the Kenton Michael Collection and company was born. The Collection first featured handmade men’s leather and silver bracelets, however within days there was a demand for a woman’s line. The Collection now features both and can be recognized by his signature handmade clasps and unique leatherwork. Kenton’s creations bear the mark of his artistic passion with splices of his hand drawings used to package each piece. Kenton Michael’s designs are quickly becoming part of Southern California’s local music scene, the top stand up paddle riders, and school and charity events in Orange County. His Collection can be found at specialty galleries in Newport Beach, Pasadena, Lake Tahoe and online at www.KentonMichael.com.
