Kibera Love is a jewelry brand that I started to help raise money for an amazing grassroots charity called Agape, Hope for Kibera which provides education, healthcare, food, and other desperately needed supplies for at-risk kids and young women living in the largest urban slum in Africa. I got involved with this organization after a visit to Kenya three years ago and have been in contact with them ever since--seeing the Kibera slum was one of the most profound experiences of my life. I found joy in the most unexpected of places, and kind, generous people just trying to help each other get by in a difficult world. All money made from my jewelry goes directly to support them, there is complete transparency which is a beautiful and rare opportunity in the non-profit sector. That's why I'm so passionate about my work, it not only gives me a creative outlet, but more importantly, it helps people in such a direct and honest way. Every piece is hand-made and one-of a-kind, with influences and styles from all over the world. Love was the motivation that started my brand, and I believe that that love radiates through every stone.
