KJ Murphy

KJ Murphy is a hair and makeup artist. A little background about him; He has lived in Colorado his whole life and is a fourth generation native to the state. He has been styling makeup since high school and loves it! It started with just basic theatre makeup, then horror, then SFX makeup, and now body art and beauty. He has specialized in horror, high fashion, and beauty makeup. Because of this he has deiced to go into the cosmetology/barbering field. He knew if he learned how to style hair as well it would make himself more marketable in the world of beauty. Plus being licensed always helps. He received his education from Paul Mitchell the school. His dreams, hopes, and goals are to one day become a platform artist and editorial stylist, work on film/photography and stage. He wants people to look at his art and be inspired by the next big thing in hair and makeup. He has worked on many different things. From being the stylist for local films, countless photo shoots, and runways shows to being the creative director for haunted houses and photography projects. He has taken many extended education classes and hands on training from some of the top hair and makeup styles in order to be the best he can be. He has won awards such as being a 2015 Beacon Winner.
