Visual Art – Cleveland

I am a visual artist, beginner and recovering stay-at-home-mom. Although I\'ve lived all over, I have been in Lyndhurst, on Cleveland\'s east side, for 16 years and openly call it home. I have a somewhat irrelevant BFA in Interior Design from the University of Central Missouri, where I also discovered the pleasures of painting and figure drawing. I\'m currently painting on recycled blue jeans that I cut apart and sew back together, stretching them over frames or otherwise leaving them to hang as \"pelts\". To me, the jeans represent hard work, old friends and rebellion. They have longevity and bad-ass appeal. Also, I like recycling something, giving it a second life, being a part of the solution, so to speak.
