KT Williams

Katelynn (KT) Williams, from Oak Park, IL, began dancing at the age of three at the Academy of Movement and Music. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she received her BFA in dance, as well as the Donald Carducci Memorial Scholarship for overall excellence in dance performance. She has had the privilege of studying and working with a diverse spectrum of dance perspectives, ranging from the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance (CA), the Mark Morris Dance Group (NY), and Deeply Rooted Dance Theater (IL). Performing with honesty and an attention to vulnerability, KT is interested in creating movement that fuses physicality, cognitive activity and artistry as a driving force. Merging familiar dance forms with improvisation and surreal concepts to create a simple, yet complex aesthetic to movement is also a keen interest of hers.
